Iain is an Apple Certified Final Cut Pro Trainer who trains students in web design, print design, retouching, video editing and animation. When not looking after his young daughter, he has been or is:

- An animator and videographer for Microsoft in the US
- A teacher at Queensland University of Technology, Design College Australia and QANTM in Brisbane
- A retoucher
- A registered iOS developer with Apple Watch, iPad and iPhone children's books on the App Store
